Confirm and pay

Clause 1

50% of the total price is considered a non-refundable retainer. A 25% deposit is due at booking, with the remaining balance divided into monthly installments. By selecting a payment plan, the client authorizes Double Knot Pictures to charge the payment method on file for scheduled installments on the dates outlined in the payment schedule. All payments must be completed no later than 14 days before the event date. In the event of cancellation, any remaining balance of the 50% retainer will be charged to the payment method on file. If the payment method is declined, the client remains liable for the full retainer amount.

Clause 2

If the client cancels the event without rescheduling, any monies paid in excess of 50% of the total price will be fully refundable. If the client wishes to reschedule the date, any monies paid can be applied to the new date and no penalty or surcharge will be applied.

Clause 3

If more than one client wishes to book event services on the same day, preference will go to the first client to pay the deposit.

Clause 4

If the event services are located outside of Texas or New York City, all airfare and lodging must be provided by the client. Additional travel charges are included in the total price noted above. When additional travel is necessary for engagement or bridal sessions outside of the Austin metro area or New York City, additional charges may apply.

Clause 5

Double Knot Pictures will be the exclusive professional videographer and/or photographer, as applicable. Another professional photographer or videographer is permitted if Double Knot Pictures has not been booked for that service.

Clause 6

It is the client's responsibility to secure access to areas for videography and/or photography. Double Knot Pictures will not be responsible for coverage lost due to access restrictions.

Clause 7

Either party may choose to be excused of any further performance obligations in the event of a disastrous occurrence outside the control of either party, such as, but not limited to: a natural disaster (fires, explosions, earthquakes, hurricane, flooding, storms or infestation); war, invasion, act of foreign enemies, embargo, or other hostility (whether declared or not); any hazardous situation created outside the control of either party such as a riot, disorder, nuclear leak or explosion, or act or threat of terrorism.

Clause 8

Double Knot Pictures reserves the right to terminate this contract at any time for any reasonable cause, e.g., accident or ill health. In this event, a replacement photographer/videographer will be provided, or all monies will be refunded in full according to the client's preference.

Clause 9

If contracted coverage coincides with the meal service, the client agrees to provide a vendor meal for each team member. To ensure we are ready for all upcoming events and do not miss any moments, we kindly request that our team be able to eat as soon as possible, ideally when the wedding party is served.

Clause 10

Any liability on the part of Double Knot Pictures will be limited to the amount of monies paid.

Clause 11

Upon taking possession of the finished product, the client must inform Double Knot Pictures of any technical or other problems within 14 days. After 14 days, if no notification has been received, the client will be deemed to be satisfied with the product. Double Knot Pictures reserves the right to delete all media after 6 months from the event date. The client is expected to make whatever backups necessary within that period to avoid loss of media.

Clause 12

If any member of the Double Knot Pictures team feels threatened in any way by a guest or other vendor at the event, Double Knot Pictures will seek resolution through the planner, members of the family, or, as a last resort, the client. In extreme cases, the resolution may include ejecting the threatening guest or vendor. If the situation is not remedied to Double Knot Pictures' reasonable satisfaction, Double Knot Pictures may leave the event without refunding any monies paid.

Clause 13

Copyright will be owned jointly by the client and Double Knot Pictures. Created media may be used by Double Knot Pictures or any other party for promotional purposes unless the client provides verbal or written notice that the media should not be publicly used.

Clause 14

This contract constitutes the final, exclusive agreement between the parties relating to the Services contained in this contract. All earlier and contemporaneous negotiations and agreements between the parties on the matters contained in this contract are expressly merged into and superseded by this contract. The parties may amend this contract only by the parties' written consent.

Clause 15

The laws of the state wherein the event is located govern all matters arising out of or relating to this contract, including torts. If any portion of this contract is deemed to be illegal or unenforceable, the remaining provisions of this contract remain in full force.

Clause 16

By providing your phone number, you consent to receive transactional text messages from Double Knot Pictures LLC related to your booking, including payment reminders, contract updates, questionnaire reminders, and wedding day logistics. Message frequency varies based on booking activity. Message and data rates may apply. Text STOP to opt out or HELP for assistance at any time. Opting out of SMS does not affect your booking. Clause 17

Additional hours of coverage booked after the completion of this contract will be billed at $300 per shooter per hour plus the applicable state sales tax. The client will be invoiced for additional hours within five business days, and the invoice will be due within one week of receipt.
