Jorge C.
Jorge Corona is a filmmaker from Mexico who grew up in Texas and has lived in New York long enough that the winter road salt is starting to melt his face. He's a graduate of UT Austin's Film program, of Tisch's Film MFA program, and of the Upright Citizen's Brigade's Improv Comedy program.
His work of 10+ years has led him through the worlds of visual and written journalism and independent film, though he has also worked in the worlds of pre-K education and wine. He loves to cycle, run, cook, read, eat too much popcorn at films (or outside of films) and he has an admiration for great All You Can Eat buffets.
He loves photographing weddings, where his improv comes handy with whatever comes around, his visual storytelling gets a workout from capturing the scene with journalistic intuition, and where his cinematic standards can be put to good use. A wry romantic at heart, Jorge feels that witnessing a marriage and capturing it for posterity is a privilege, and he takes the responsibility as tenderly and seriously as possible while keeping the good times going, whether in pictures or in video.
